Finally, a Toy Built for Dogs Who Mean Business
If your dog has a toy graveyard at home — a pile of destuffed, de-squeakered, flattened plushies that lasted only a few sessions — the BASIL Crunchy Crocodile was made for exactly that dog. Designed as the ultimate interactive toy for tough chewers, this croc brings together a durability-focused Oxford fabric construction, crinkle sound technology, and a satisfying built-in squeaker into one brilliantly designed, non-toxic toy that gives persistent chewers something genuinely worth engaging with.
Made by BASIL — one of India’s most trusted pet toy brands — the Crunchy Crocodile is built to a higher standard than standard plush toys, with materials specifically chosen to withstand the kind of enthusiastic chewing, tugging, and shaking that breaks lesser toys in minutes.
What Makes the Crunchy Crocodile Different
Oxford Fabric Construction
Most plush dog toys use standard polyester fabric that tears easily under consistent chewing pressure. The BASIL Crunchy Crocodile uses Oxford fabric on its outer layer — a tightly woven, more abrasion-resistant material that significantly increases the toy’s lifespan against determined chewers. It is the same material used in durable bags and outdoor gear, applied here to give your dog’s toy a fighting chance.
Crinkle Sound That Dogs Love
The “Crunchy” in the name is more than just branding — the toy features a crinkle layer inside that produces a satisfying, crunchy sound every time your dog bites, squeezes, or paws at it. Dogs are wired to respond to this kind of tactile noise — it mimics the natural sounds of prey and keeps dogs actively engaged far longer than a silent toy would.
Built-In Squeaker
Alongside the crinkle, the toy includes a built-in squeaker for an added layer of sound stimulation during play. The combination of squeaker and crinkle gives dogs two distinct reward sounds in a single toy — maximising play engagement and replay value.
Non-Toxic & Pet-Safe
All materials meet BASIL’s standard quality requirements for pet safety. The toy is fully non-toxic, meaning every chew, carry, and cuddle session is safe for your dog.
Benefits for Your Dog
- Satisfies strong chewing urges safely — giving tough chewers a proper, durable outlet without the destruction of furniture, shoes, or other household items
- Dual sensory stimulation — crinkle sound and squeaker keep dogs mentally engaged and excited throughout every play session
- Reduces boredom and destructive behaviour — a well-engaged dog is a calmer, happier dog, especially during hours spent alone at home
- Great for interactive play — toss it for fetch, use it for a tug game, or squeak it to get your dog’s attention during training sessions
- Suitable for solo and supervised play — dogs can entertain themselves with the crinkle sounds independently, or enjoy active play with their owners
Who Is This For?
- Tough and moderate chewers who wear through standard plush toys quickly
- Medium to large dog breeds such as Labradors, German Shepherds, Boxers, Dalmatians, Beagles, and similar active breeds who play hard
- High-energy dogs that need a toy strong enough to keep up with their enthusiasm
- Dogs with separation anxiety who benefit from a self-entertaining, noise-making toy when left alone
Please note: Always supervise your pet during play. While the Oxford fabric exterior provides enhanced durability over standard plush, no toy is indestructible. Inspect regularly and replace if significant damage occurs or inner components become accessible.
