Adorable on the Outside. Tough Where It Counts.
Not every dog toy needs to look intimidating to be durable. The BASIL Plush Tortoise Pet Toy proves that a toy can be irresistibly cute and genuinely tough at the same time. By combining a soft, huggable plush exterior with the resilience of TRP (Thermoplastic Rubber) — an all-natural, ultra-durable rubber material — this orange tortoise toy gives your dog a satisfying chewing experience that holds up far longer than standard plush alone.
Made by BASIL — one of India’s most trusted pet toy brands — the Plush Tortoise is designed to keep your dog engaged, entertained, and happily gnawing through every play session without the guilt of watching another soft toy fall apart in minutes.
What Makes This Toy Special
Soft Plush + TRP Rubber Combination
Most plush toys offer softness but sacrifice durability. Most rubber toys offer durability but lose the cuddly appeal. The BASIL Plush Tortoise gives you both. The plush exterior provides a warm, inviting texture that dogs are naturally drawn to — ideal for carrying, cuddling, and gentle mouthing. The TRP rubber core and accents deliver the chew resistance and structural durability that makes this toy last through repeated play sessions.
TRP — All-Natural, Ultra-Durable Rubber
TRP (Thermoplastic Rubber) is an all-natural rubber material widely regarded as one of the safest and most durable options for dog chew toys. It is non-toxic, food-safe, and free from harmful chemicals — meaning your dog can chew with full safety. Its flexibility and resistance to tearing make it significantly more hardwearing than standard plush stuffing, giving the tortoise its durability advantage.
Inviting Texture & Fun Design
The tactile combination of soft fabric and rubber texture gives dogs multiple surfaces to explore with their mouth and paws — keeping them interested and engaged longer than single-material toys. The bright orange tortoise design is visually stimulating and easy for your dog to spot during indoor fetch or solo play.
Non-Toxic & Pet-Safe
Every material in the BASIL Plush Tortoise meets standard quality requirements for pet safety. The toy is fully non-toxic — safe for chewing, carrying, and cuddling in equal measure.
Benefits for Your Dog
- Satisfies chewing instincts safely with a durable material combination that holds up to regular gnawing
- Tactile variety — the contrast between soft plush and firm TRP rubber provides multi-sensory stimulation that engages dogs more deeply than single-texture toys
- Promotes healthy dental habits — chewing on the TRP rubber helps massage gums and can assist in removing soft plaque buildup during play
- Reduces boredom — an interesting, multi-texture toy that dogs return to repeatedly, making it effective for solo play when you are away
- Cuddly enough for comfort, tough enough for play — works as both a comfort companion during downtime and an active play toy during energetic sessions
- Lightweight and carry-friendly — the tortoise shape and size make it easy for dogs to pick up, toss, and carry around
Who Is This For?
- Puppies exploring different textures and satisfying early chewing and teething instincts
- Small to medium dogs who enjoy both soft cuddling toys and moderate chewing
- Dogs who enjoy multi-texture toys and tend to lose interest in single-material plush or rubber options
- Pet parents looking for a toy that balances cuteness with durability at a practical price point
Please note: Always supervise your pet during play. Inspect the toy regularly and replace if significant wear or damage occurs. This toy is designed for moderate chewing — not recommended for very aggressive power chewers.
