Some toys are for chewing. Some are for fetching. And some are just meant to be loved — squeezed, carried around, and napped with. The BASIL Cuddly Soft Hippo Plush Toy is exactly that kind of toy. Big, soft, squeaky, and utterly irresistible, this plush hippo is designed to keep dogs and puppies happily entertained — whether they are in the mood for a gentle chew, an enthusiastic squeak session, or a cosy cuddle after a long walk.
Made by BASIL — one of India’s most trusted pet toy brands — this toy combines fun, safety, and quality in one adorable, huggable package.
Key Features
- Built-in squeaker — positioned around the stomach area to attract and maintain your dog’s attention during play, encouraging interaction and keeping boredom at bay
- Soft plush construction — the plush outer material is designed for a satisfying, gentle chew feel — ideal for puppies who are exploring their world with their mouth and dogs who prefer a softer toy texture
- Non-toxic materials — fully pet-safe construction, free from harmful chemicals, so you can feel confident about every chew and cuddle session
- Generously sized — at 25 x 27 cm, this is a big toy built for cuddly pets — large enough to double as a comfort companion for nap time and small enough for easy carrying in a dog’s mouth
- Made in India by a trusted local pet brand with a strong quality standard commitment
Benefits for Your Dog
Keeps Boredom Away
Dogs — especially puppies — need stimulation throughout the day. The squeaker in the BASIL Hippo gives your dog an instant reward response every time they engage with the toy, making it naturally captivating and encouraging repeated, active play.
Supports Gentle Chewing Behaviour
Not every dog is an aggressive chewer. For soft chewers, puppies, senior dogs, and small breeds, a plush toy like the Hippo offers the satisfaction of chewing without the hardness of rubber or nylon toys. It is a healthy outlet for natural chewing instincts.
Comfort & Companionship
Dogs are social animals. When you are away, a familiar, scented plush toy can reduce anxiety and provide a sense of comfort. Many dogs carry their favourite plush toy with them — this Hippo is sized and shaped perfectly for that role.
Encourages Interactive Play
Toss it, tug it, or squeak it — the BASIL Hippo works equally well as a solo comfort toy and as a tool for interactive play between dogs and their owners. It is a great option for fetch indoors, gentle tug games, and training reward play.
Who Is This Toy For?
- Puppies exploring textures and satisfying early chewing instincts
- Small to medium dogs who prefer soft, plush toys over hard chew options
- Dogs prone to anxiety who benefit from a comforting, familiar companion toy
- Pet parents looking for a safe, affordable, and adorably designed gift for their dog
Please note: Always supervise your pet during playtime. This toy is designed for soft chewing and cuddling — not for aggressive chewers. Inspect the toy regularly and replace if it shows signs of significant wear or if stuffing becomes accessible.
